Introducing Eco-Fair project at “Make Climate Action Everyone’s Business Conference” organized by International Trade Centre (ITC) in the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC)
On November 4th, 2021, PhD Nguyen Bao Thoa –Director of the project “Promotion of supply and demand of eco-fair agri-food processing products in Vietnam” (Eco-Fair), gave a presentation on Climate Change and Agricultural Value Chains at “Make Climate Action Everyone’s Business Conference” organized by the International Trade Centre (ITC). In her presentationPhD Nguyen Bao Thoa addressed how climate change impacts small and medium enterprises in Vietnam, thereby emphasizing the importance of sustainable production and consumption. She also introduced supporters of green production and trade promotion such as GreentoCompeteHub (founded by ITC and Vietrade) and Eco-Fair project (funded by EU – Switch Asia program, managed by VIRI). The Eco-Fair project has engaged stakeholders such as state authorities, associations, organizations, buyers… to provide practical support to small and medium enterprises. Online training courses through Funzi platform have brought practical knowledge to participants with exciting and straightforward approaches, offfering direct guidance on cleaner production, transferring clean agricultural techniques to farmers such as biochar, and connecting domestic and international markets for eco-fair products. The Eco-Fair project plays a critical role in transforming Vietnam’s consumer perception towards more sustainable consumption.
