ITC associates with VIRI to promote sustainable and inclusive value chains

International Trade Center (ITC) acknowledges the continued efforts of Vietnam Rural Industries Research and Development Institute (VIRI) to support the sustainable development of rural industries in Vietnam for the last 22 years on successfully delivered more than 10,000 training activities, impacting more than 50,000 direct beneficiaries, out of which 80% are women. VIRI has also strengthened more than 200 cooperatives and civil society organisations to empower women entrepreneurs, mitigate climate change and enhance the livelihoods of households and communities. Currently, VIRI is dedicated to promote the integration of eco-fair agricultural products from Vietnam in the EU market.

The International Trade Centre is dedicated to foster inclusive and sustainable development by supporting the internationalization of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). In this context, ITC has developed tools and platforms to connect enterprises to international markets, provide them with solutions and create a conductive trade ecosystem so they can grow their businesses.

As ITC is strengthening our interventions in Vietnam, ITC looks forward to collaborating with organisations such as VIRI to increase the outreach and uptake of such tools and platforms that promote sustainable and inclusive value chains.
