Vietnam Rural Industries Research and Development Institute held a workshop to evaluate three tourism models in Gia Lai province

On July 20, 2022, the Vietnam Rural Industries Research and Development Institute held a workshop to evaluate 3 models (1) culinary experiences associated with community tourism (2) beverage experience (3) culinary night market.

There were the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Department of Science and Technology of Gia Lai province, the provincial tourism association, specialized departments, experts, and tourism businesses inside and outside the province attended the workshop.

The culinary model associated with tourism has been deployed in Mo Hra village, Kông Lơng Khơn commune, 80km from Pleiku city. The activities of the model include learning about customs, traditions, architecture of Rong house, stilt house; experiencing in traditional crafts such as knitting, brocade weaving; enjoying the cuisine; watching Cong chieng performance, etc.

The models were highly appreciated, making practical contributions to the development of culinary associated with local community tourism. With the support of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism as well as the research team, from April 2022 to July 2022, MoHra village welcomed about 150 visitors, marking the prosperity of community-based tourism, making practical contributions to socio-economic development and cultural preservation in the locality./.
