Research residency of New for Old
Research residency (6-20 December) of New for Old, a regional programme which provides new opportunities for female artisans and makers within the Southeast Asia. In Vietnam, British Council collaborate with Viri to implement the project. We are at Lao Chai, Lao Cai Province and Na Phon, Chieng Chau and Paco, Hoa Binh province studying authentic traditional textile and natural dyeing of Black Hmong, White Thai and Blue Hmong, and also collecting information about their social structures, lifestyles, needs and interest.
