JICA Volunteer to start working at VIRI from October 2017

The selected person is Mr. Yamada Kuniharu. Mr. Yamada Kuniharu gained Master degrees in Business Management and Agriculture, with a good English foundation. Mr. Yamada Kuniharu will work with VIRI for a period of 2 years from Octorber 2017 to Octorber 2019.

August 18th, at VIRI office, Mr. Oi Toshiaki, Senior Advisor of JOCV and DV Program, JICA Vietnam, had a meeting with Dr. Nguyen Bao Thoa, Director of Vietnam Rural Industries Research and Development Institute (VIRI). The meeting was focusing on the newly appointed JICA volunteer to VIRI office in Hanoi. The volunteer staff will start working with VIRI from Octorber 2017 with specialism in Marketing. This is an activity belonging to the collaboration program sending Japanese volunteer to Vietnam. The program is part of the collaboration framework of JICA, officially begin in 2015. The aim of the program is to support the socioeconomic development of the host countries and deepen the diplomatic relation between Japan and host countries.

JICA volunteer will support VIRI in expanding the market to support production groups even after funded projects completed. The volunteer will continue to expand the promotion and sales of local specialities made by ethnic minorities and poor farmers in Vietnam. The selected person is Mr. Yamada Kuniharu. Mr. Yamada Kuniharu gained Master degrees in Business Management and Agriculture, with a good English foundation. Mr. Yamada Kuniharu will work with VIRI for a period of 2 years from Octorber 2017 to Octorber 2019.
