VIRI Appointed as AVPN’s Official Representative in Vietnam
Effective 15 July 2025
On July 15, 2025, the Vietnam Rural Industries Research and Development Institute (VIRI) has officially become AVPN’s representative in Vietnam, effective 15 July 2025. In this role, Dr. Nguyen Bao Thoa has been appointed as AVPN Vietnam Country Director.
This marks an important step in strengthening AVPN’s presence in Southeast Asia. As AVPN’s local representative, VIRI will play a key role in expanding our network in Vietnam, engaging leading social investors, funders, and ecosystem enablers across the country. This strategic collaboration will help connect high-impact Vietnamese organisations and individuals to AVPN’s broader regional and global ecosystem.
VIRI will support AVPN in recruiting and engaging members across Vietnam; mobilising local resources in close coordination with AVPN teams such as ImpactCollab, AI Opportunity Fund, Impact Investing, Climate, Gender, Health and contributing to the development of a strong and collaborative Southeast Asia network.
Currently, VIRI is also a valued verification partner of the AVPN ImpactCollab Programme, further deepening its engagement with the local community.
As part of this journey, we are also pleased to support the upcoming AVPN Global Conference 2025, which will take place in Hong Kong SAR from 9–11 September 2025. This gathering of over 1,500 social investors and changemakers from across Asia will be a unique opportunity to spotlight Vietnamese leadership on a global stage. More information here.
VIRI appreciates and values the opportunity to join the AVPN team in advancing social investment in Vietnam and contributing to the sustainable and inclusive development of the Southeast Asia region.
