VIRI Meets Foodmax – Towards an MOU to Support Farmers, Expand Markets, and Promote the Eco Fair Model
On 16th Oct, 2025, the Vietnam Rural Industries Research and Development Institute (VIRI) had a meeting with representatives of Foodmax, a company specializing in international agricultural product distribution and market development.
The meeting focused on exploring cooperation opportunities to support farmers in the production of coffee, rice, and other agricultural products, aiming for sustainable, fair, and environmentally friendly production under the Eco Fair model – a model that integrates ecological values and circular production within agricultural value chains.
Both sides agreed to collaborate in several key areas:
- Promoting the Eco Fair model within the value chains of coffee, rice, and other agricultural products.
- Connecting export markets to Europe and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to increase the commercial value of Vietnamese agricultural products.
In the coming period, VIRI and Foodmax plan to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to formalize the cooperation framework and implement activities.
This meeting marks an important first step in the partnership between the two sides, demonstrating their shared commitment to promoting sustainable agriculture, improving farmers’ livelihoods, and advancing the values of the Eco Fair model – for a greener, fairer, and more prosperous future for Vietnamese agriculture.
