Condition surveys of agricultural farm development associated with rural-agricultural tourism

On January 12-16, 2020, Mrs. Nguyen Bao Thoa, Director of the Vietnam Rural Industries Research and Development Institute had a business trip with the Mission of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development to survey the current state of agricultural farm development in association with rural-agricultural tourism.

The mission was headed by Mr. Le Duc Thinh – Director of the Department of Cooperatives and Rural Development as the mission leader, Ms. Pham Le Thao, Deputy Director of the Travel Department – Vietnam National Administration of Tourism, with other members of the mission. The mission worked in Lam Dong Province from 12-14 January and Thua Thien Hue Province on 15-16 January with the provincial management board and leaders of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Department of Natural Resources and Environment, Department of Construction, Coordinator Office of the national target program on new-style rural areas of the Provinces.

Rural-agricultural tourism, if is implemented methodically, will positively contribute to economic, social, cultural and rural development. Rural-agricultural tourism also contributes positively to creating jobs, improving income and empower people working in agriculture and living in rural areas. The “Manage and support to develop agricultural farms associated with rural-agricultural tourism” coordinated by the Department of Cooperatives and Rural Development will be in close coordination with the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, New Rural Development Program as well as other agricultural-rural development programs of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development.
