Meeting with the Bac Ninh Provincial Farmers’ Union.
On 27 March 2026, the Vietnam Institute for Research and Development of Rural Industries (VIRI), in collaboration with the Institute of International Economics and Law, held a meeting and working session with the Bac Ninh Provincial Farmers’ Union.
In an open and cooperative atmosphere, VIRI engaged in discussions with the Farmers’ Union on potential support activities for local enterprises under the Eco Fair WBs programme. Key areas of support outlined included improving and enhancing soil quality and product standards, promoting the adoption of green, circular, and environmentally friendly production practices, as well as strengthening compliance with relevant sustainability standards.
In addition, market linkages, brand development, and value addition for local agricultural products were identified as key priorities.
Through this meeting, both parties expressed their expectation to further strengthen collaboration in the coming period to effectively implement support activities. These efforts aim to enhance the competitiveness of agricultural enterprises and cooperatives, while promoting sustainable and inclusive rural economic development.
