Quintessential products from ethnic minority groups in Vietnam will be introduced by VIRICO at the New York Now Fair taking place from August 4-7, 2024 in New York.
VIRI supported the design and product development as well as sought consultation from leading American market experts. Hopefully the fair will bring positive results, contributing to better livelihoods for ethnic minorities in Vietnam.
After three years of implementation, the project: Promotion of supply and demand of Eco-Fair Agri-food processing products in Vietnam) has achieved great success with positive impacts recognized by the European Union, the Switch Asia program, DCRD, Vietrade, Associations, and business units participating in the project. Therefore, with the nomination of the Switch Asia Program, the Eco Fair project will participate the Annual Meeting: Sustainable consumption and production: Trends and Opportunities” in Bangkok on 21 November 2023 at the Session on Agrifood. The meeting aim to share experiences from private sectors on best practices and how to achieve agri and food sustainable consumption and collecting the ideas on how private sectors can promote agri and food sustainable consumption and how to collaborate with government and other stakeholders to achieve ag and food sustainable consumption. And Eco Fair project will share about these topic below:
1) The benefits of green procurement and ecolabel food
2) Some examples of successful implementation of green procurement and ecolabel food products and best practices to achieve them.
3) The challenges in delivering a green market for sustainable agriculture and food consumption and recommendations to collaborate with private sectors, government and other stakeholders to promote ag and food sustainable consumption.

On Dec. 19, Mrs. Thoa, director of VIRI met Mr. Julian Lawsonm Mr. Hill Stefan Moser and Quan Nguyen who are working on a project for the EU Delegation to discuss and make recommendations on the new ARISE+ Programme, which will run from 2018 to 2022 and takes over from the EU-MUTRAP programme. The aim of the programme is to help Vietnamese companies export to the EU, to take advantage of the EU-Vietnam Free Trade Agreement.
