VIRI cooperate with VFCO to develop guideline for the implementation on deforestation-free agricultural commodity production meeting EUDR regulations
Vietnam Rural Industries Research and Development Institute (VIRI) is honor to cooperate with the Vietnam Forest Certification Office (VFCO) to iimplement the project: “Supporting small and medium enterprises (SMEs) to export through the guideline for verification of ‘Deforestation-free Commodity production‘ under EUDR regulations
The overall objectives are to support small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) for exports and participation in global value chains (GVCs) through the development of guideline and capacity building for the implementation of deforestation-free agricultural commodity production, forest degradation to meet the trade requirements of agricultural products in the EU market as stipulated in the EUDR and in compliance with the provisions of Vietnamese law. The specific objectives are:
(i) Develop guideline for the implementation on deforestation-free agricultural commodity production meeting EUDR regulations;
(ii) Develop guideline for verification of deforestation-free agricultural products in the digital environment;
(iii) Support products and sectors with export potential as identified in the National Export Strategy until 2030
This project is belongs to The Innovation and Competitiveness Grant Facility (ICG Facility) of the SwissTrade programme, granted by the Swiss Government.
